Hello , I've recently upgraded openSUSE to 15.6 versione, the issues I siognal are also present in the old release of akonadi's kontact/kmail module.

I currently use kontact as my primary groupware tool in interaction with my colleagues I need to use group of email address to send comunications.

It's very difficult to edit/create these group as you have to manually enter email address in the GUI, it would be better to have a "point and click" selection of address from the addressbook or create directly a group from the addresses of a mail message.

After creating the address group frequently the kontact client crashes.... very annoying

The annoying bug I try to explain today is that even if you set in the kmail sendmessage dialog another group name, the client, during the send process (the group isn't evaluated after pressing enter but only after the message is sent) the group is evaluated with the erroneous group of email addresses so you have a surprise whenever you select an address group.
This make this feature unusable at all.
I'm very courious to know if this problem is only my peculiarity or is a common issue, this because since I tried to use address groups I faced this kind of problem so I suspected was only my issue and didn't fill a bugreport, but after years I suspect this is a common issue)

I filled also an upstream report to KDE: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488874
