Description Sarah Kriesch 2024-06-28 12:35:47 UTC
## Observation

The openQA test is failing because the world map with the sea after finishing partitioning is brown coloured instead of with beautiful blue water. That seems to be wrong (a bug).

openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-s390x-textmode-server@s390x-zVM-vswitch-l2 fails in
[partitioning_finish](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4305473/modules/partitioning_finish/steps/1)

## Test suite description
The base test suite is used for job templates defined in YAML documents. It has no settings of its own.

## Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build [20240606](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4255925)

## Expected result

Last good: [20240531](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4243619) (or more recent)

## Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: [latest](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/latest?arch=s390x&distri=opensuse&flavor=DVD&machine=s390x-zVM-vswitch-l2&test=textmode-server&version=Tumbleweed)

This has nothing to do with a single image or so, take a look at other screnshots, e.g., https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4305473#step/partitioning_filesystem/14 or even https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4305473#step/welcome/3

I don't know what has changed, but more of the colors seem to be different and we haven't changed them.
Comment 2 Lukas Ocilka 2024-06-28 14:42:05 UTC
And BTW, if you don't see the same colors for other architectures, it's gonna be S/390-related. Maybe some driver/display problem?
Comment 3 Lukas Ocilka 2024-06-28 14:42:37 UTC
Sarah, can you reproduce the same behavior manually?
Comment 4 Sarah Kriesch 2024-06-28 18:11:15 UTC
I spoke with Dimstar today. This problem was b86 and s390x related in the first step. Then it was fixed on x86 and now it is only on Big Endian.

The original bug about the wrong colors on s390x was bug 1226725
