<remedy_details> The ldapmodify utility needs to handle the control
tag defined in RFC 2849. This is needed for the superior references
work being done for Nexor/Govt of Canada/Entrust </remedy_details>

<remedy_notes> dsteck ( 8/5/02 10:44:30 AM Testing - Submitter/Final )
Code review done. We plan to push this change back to OpenLDAP shortly.

dsteck ( 7/25/02 12:51:33 PM Fixing - Fix Is Checked-In )
Updated ldapmodify.exe to support the "control:" tag in an LDIF file.
The fix will be in builds dated July 25, 2002 or later.

jimse ( 6/22/02 8:31:09 AM Fixing - Failed ) Please create a child defect
for the -M switch, and leave this defect open. We should still implement
support for the control tag as it is described in the LDIF standard.

dsteck ( 6/17/02 10:11:02 AM Fixing - Fix Is Checked-In ) While we should
support the control tag called out in the RFC, we believe a better solution
is to add an option to ldapmodify, ldapsearch, ldapdelete, etc to add this
control for all operations.

From a user perspective it's probably easier to do this, than to have to
code up a control in LDIF.

We enabled the -M option (or -MM to make it critical) on all the ldap
utilities.
