Description Wolfgang Rosenauer 2005-10-12 19:39:49 UTC
while updating and testing PCSC-Lite together with a certain CTAPI driver I ran
into the problem that pcscd can crash the kernel while registering the USB
device (SC reader).
Olaf was able to get some kernel trace and remembered that a patch for the
problem was checked in into mainline one? day ago. He built a test kernel which
doesn't crash for me anymore.
I don't know in which situations this can happen but as it is a really hard
crash it should get fixed for 10.0 as well.

This was also discussed on vendor-sec as it seems. Maybe we consider it security related?
Comment 4 Marcus Meissner 2005-10-14 19:14:19 UTC
are these the final patches?

this is a dup of:

Comment 5 Olaf Hering 2005-10-15 07:06:02 UTC
No, this cant be a dup of bug #118756 because this bug is about a crash in usb while the other bug is about access denied.
Comment 6 Marcus Meissner 2005-10-16 06:52:53 UTC
