Description Charlie Ungashick 2005-10-18 10:35:12 UTC
Plugging my canon EOS 20D via USB cable does nothing. I use an IBM ThinkPad
T42p. susewatcher is running. The KDE USB module does show the device listed,
though the
memory card doesn't appear in gnome. F-Spot's "Import from camera"
complains that there's no camera connected. I was able however to use a
PCMCIA card reader to mount the same memory card in my camera to the PC.

Once I plugged it in, F-Spot appeared and promted me to automagically
import my photos.

Charlie, install the "gphoto" RPM and try:

gphoto2 --auto-detect

with the camera attached.

I got a blank table with "Model" and "Port" listed but no models. :(
