I have no idea where to even begin with this one -- no one has reported it yet. It is almost surely due to the not-complete GNOME setup. Does the icon ever start working? Say, after it changes? Is that the GNOME panel it is displayed in or some other Xdg-compliant notification area? Same here, nm-applet is offset in the kde system tray. The applet works but the pixmap is always offset, even after changing pixmaps. The effect is also present when the panel is horizontal.
