Description Filippos Papadopoulos 2005-10-20 11:30:17 UTC
IMHO it would be nice to save the position and size of windows and panels in
some yast modules. For example i use the Software Installation (package
manager) module lots of time. Its time the main window of the package manager
apeears i have to drag the split widget/panel (i dont remember how it is
exactly called in QT) to the left so that the package info gets more visible
space.
Generally i think that saving user preferences, regarding panel/window sizes
and position, is a good usability practice.

Stanislav: Sounds like a good idea to me, please decide what should be done. Hope that assigning this to you is OK, as this is not about a specific module.

Stefan, how hard would be to implement this?
Comment 3 Stefan Hundhammer 2005-11-16 10:16:08 UTC
It's even on the to-do list - for the SW selection at least. For all general cases this is much more complicated.
