I konw that there is bug 116763 related to my issue, but I have
different response from my laptop. I installed SuSE 10 on HP nx8220
with ACPI set to off as specified. (I followed HP instructions and Novell
recomendations to the letter.) Installation was flawless and hardware
detection best so far. 

Problem is that when I try to shutdown or restart at the end of the process
everithing frezzes, same thing happens when I set ACPI=on in GRUB. Sistem does
not boot. I have just blank screen. If I need to supply some listing just ask.

The notebook in question is  	
HP COMPAQ NX8220, PY515EA.
