Reopen for 10.1 if the bug still exists. |
My system specs: Laptop with SIS645DX chipset. During the Installation from SuSE 10.0 DVD, I get the message: "Error No hard disks were found ...". By pressing "Alt+F4" during the early stage of booting, I can observe these kernel messages: insmod sis5513 ... hda: {DriveSeek Complete Error} hda: {DriveStatus Error} hda: wcach flush failed ide: failed opcode was Oxea ... The boot option "insmod=ide-generic brokenmodules=sis5513" results also in the message "no hard disks were found2 (this works for SuSE 9.3). The same applies to "acpi=off", Safe Settings etc. Is there a way to install SuSE 10.0 on this laptop?
