Description Peter Schmiedeskamp 2005-10-26 16:48:17 UTC
mondoarchive installs and appears to run properly, however when booting bare metal restore CDs, an error is generated:

"/sbin/post-init: 202: mondorestore: not found"

The mondorestore executable appears to be on the CD that is produced, but this error is still happening consistently.

The system is a minimal text system with the mondo and mindi packages installed from the official SUSE packages.

A google search turned up some german articles that suggest that this problem existed in SUSE 9.3 as well, though I have not confirmed this.

I also found a now defunct page (google cached) that describes a similar problem (with potential resolution) in another Linux distribution.

I used the following google search to find these results:
"mondorestore: not found"

The main reason for this error is most probably that the dynamic libs which are needed for mondorestore to run are not available in the mindi image. To me it looks like a mindi problem.

I'm working on mindi at the moment and made some progress already.
So I'll take this.

It's fixed now in STABLE.
Andreas, can we provide an update for this for 10.0?
The original package doesn't work at all, so we can't break anything.
It would also mean a minor version upgrade from 1.04 to 1.05 (which wouldn't be necessary)
Comment 4 Andreas Jaeger 2005-11-21 08:06:50 UTC
Version update for 10.0 is approved: Maintenance-Tracker-2967
Comment 5 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2005-11-22 05:25:04 UTC
update submitted for 10.0 with patchinfo
Comment 6 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2005-11-22 05:31:07 UTC
I've just noticed that the maintenance tracker shows mondo as package.
The updated package is mindim which is used by mondo to create boot disks.
Just to let the autobuild team know (hmm, lrupp knows already ;-))

mindi released :)
