Mainboard Asus K8V, 512mb ddr, Athlon64 @3.2ghz, Riva TNT, 2 SATA WD 200gb normally in mirroring raid (but I don't ask for mirroring to Linux, I know the kernel limitation), 3com fast ethernet pci (don't like integrated netcard).
Screen : Eizo flexscan L550 in 1024/768
Adsl & hardware firewall : Zyxel.
FS : linux native, installed SuSE 9.2
no overclock of nothing, it's a workstation (works fine with win2k sp4, btw).

Was running SuSE 9.2, fine. Update to 9.3 (downloaded DVD 01jul05) went wrong, always bad packages, kernel one, so no install. Version 64bit always giving black screen on startup, frozen. Tried OpenSuse 10 version 64 bit, dvd, same freeze.
Tried OpenSuse FTP install, the required datas (ftp nameserver) not in the install package, it's a joke!
Tried yesterday the OpenSuse 10 version 64bit on cd, frozen. Then the 32bit on cd. Here's the result, last lines, no journal to join as all was blocked.

I NEVER encountered so much problems with SuSE in the good old time of SuSE.de!!

I'll install back my older versions or latest RH not to have to lose time for all updates : I already used all my monthly ADSL download rate for nothing. And I need to work!
