I applied the following patch, and everything works fine with that. http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.14-rc2/2.6.14-rc2-mm2/broken-out/sis5513-support-sis-965l.patch I tested the kernel nozzle.suse.de:/pub/people/mantel/kotd/x86_64/HEAD/kernel-default-2.6.14-20051028140608.x86_64.rpm which already includes the patch. I kernel works fine. Is it possible to include this patch into the next update kernel for SUSE Linux 10.0? Kernel updates for released products will not enable new hardware, you have to use kotd or a snapshot release. The pata patch is not in the suse head. I looked at my patches kernel-source. So the patch: http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.14-rc2/2.6.14-rc2-mm2/broken-out/sis5513-support-sis-965l.patch still has to be added to the kotd. I only added it to SL100, it's in HEAD now as well. Can't you add it like bug 131346? |
