When network devices are waiting too long (especially if no network is available) for dhcp replies during boot process, Xorg is loaded before acpid and blocks /proc/acpi/event. As a result of this acpid and powersaved fail to load.

Setting the device's startmode to "manual" solves this problem, but that doesn't seem to be a good solution...
