As is says in the description, these tools are for testin/gdebugging purposes ;) But you can write manpages for them, of course... Redirecting this to the maintainer of y2pmsh and taking Stanislav into CC. What other tools would you like manpages for? Well, I was not able to find *any* description of "online_update" or "installation_sources" - not even one that says that they are for "testing/debugging purposes"... :-) Given that "online_update" is used by YaST2 itself and that both tools can be useful for scripting/autoinstall purposes, I most definitely would not call them debugging tools. y2pmsh might have been another one, though it is less important as most issues that could be needed for scripting/autoinstall can most likely be solved using YaST2 command line modules. However, THOSE modules have barely any documentation - not even the "yast2 MODULE help" function works for all of them! (example: "yast2 inst_source help" just displays the GUI - I think it should at least return some information about the fact that this module does not support command line operation - maybe even a reference to "installation_sources"...). YaST2 is great as a GUI/TUI but there are many situations where scripts are more powerful - and in my opinion, man pages are the easiest and quickest way of finding documentation in that case. reopen to reassign. found it new manpage is to be included in yast2-2.13.98.rpm |
