Kate cannot find any string when you're in "bloc selection mode".

For example go to
http://www.opensuse.org/Welcome_to_openSUSE.org

save the page as HTML
open it with Kate
go to the "Edit" menu
click on "Bloc selection mode Ctrl+Maj+B"
Ctrl+F
enter "Open"

=> the string is not found

I don't know if I have to report this to you or directly upstream to the kate.kde.org project.

Was fixed upstream (KDE 3.5), so does work in 10.1 Alpha 3.
