Hi , 
I don't know if this an actual bug, since transcluency and render accelaration are still experimental.
I installed the latest nvidia drivers (my graphics card is FX5200), enabled 3d acceleration, edited config file and enabled composite manager with transcluency ,shadows etc.Now , every time I click on the home icon on the task bar, the current kde session ends at once. I am redirected to the login screen on my system where i need to login again in order to continue. All previous working applications are gone.I tried to  delete the home icon on the task bar (link to home) and create a new one, but no use. the same happens with the link I've created on the desktop for the home folder. It is a very annoying thing. Any ideas to fix this problem would be appreciable.

most likely a X problem - I doubt you use 10.0 snapshot 2 though

OK let's start with the version: Which version (exactly) are you using, Nikos? 

Then figure out if this problem has something to do with the nvidia driver: Disable the mentioned fetaures at first. If it still happens, use the opensource (nv driver module) and check if it still happens.

We cannot support/change the nvidia module because it is basically closed source. Ensure that you're using the latest version of the module -- the problem might get fixed by nvidia soon (or has already been fixed maby). I don't know the way how to report problems to nvidia... but this would be the way then.
