cc'ing Andreas as requested. Seems that the graphical vs. text mode choice does not influnce the behavoiur but the actual selection of packages. I gave it another shot choosing KDE only (and ignored all dependency issues as before). This time the installation worked using the graphical mode. cc'ing Michael as we spoke about this earlier. Reassigning it to Jiri. I don't get much hint from the log. It simply ends in the middle of package commit. There's nothing special about this installation and no obvious errors. Timo: May it be the machine ran out of memeory? Well, it has 256M. I'll leave this on NEEDINFO and get back once I'm giving EDGE another run. Once I do so, I'll focus on this bug at installation time. Never saw this happening again. Closing as fixed. |
