Description Bart Whiteley 2005-11-11 23:47:15 UTC
I'm installing on my Toshiba Tecra 9000, and the install hangs at the
"Hardware Configuration" page (just after downloading release notes and checking for updates).

I switched to a VT, and guessed which process might be the problem.
I killed "/usr/bin/perl /usr/share/sax/init.pl --quiet no"
Once I did this and switched back to the GUI install, I see a dialog:
"External VGA not supported with this NoteBook [OK} "

Now I can continue, but this page is blank. I'm unable to view configuration for graphics cards, printers, sound, tv cards, bluetooth, ...

After finishing the install, I don't have a working X server.

Marcus, we already had similar problem caused by some of the SaX package missing...

This has already been fixed but not in the alpha releases. These
versions are really broken ;)
