Description Raffaello Ferone 2005-11-20 14:04:22 UTC
Everytime I want to end the session in KDE, just to end the current session or to halt or reboot the system, by the end session menu, the first time the command is never executed; the second one, too, very often the command is not executed. In these cases, KDE gives me no longer the opportunity to accede to "end session menu", and I have to log in in a shell as superuser, and restart the session manually.

can you reproduce that by a fresh boot, logging in, not doing anything besides logging off?

otherwise some application you use is broken and blocks session management (which happens when "nothing happens"). you have to find which one it is.

we can't reproduce the problem and you did not provide the necessary information ;(

please reopen if the problem persists under SUSE 10.1 and you can provide the necessary infos.
