Description Juan Rodriguez 2005-11-20 16:04:12 UTC
The installation process starts perfectly. After copying the files from CD1 and inmediatly restarting, the System hangs up. The screen remains blank and the keyboard doesn't respond.
The system is a Toshiba Satellite A75-S229 with 1 GB RAM and ATI Radeon 9100 IGP chipset.

Information about how to generate the log

I have read the FAQ about how to get the logs file and I don't know how to do it.
The system hangs up just after restarting after finishing with the first installation CD. I don't have access to any "resulting file from /tmp". The computer doesn't have any floppy disk either.
If I restart the system and select the failsafe mode, the setup continues asking for the rest of the CDs. When it tries to configure the network it hangs up again. If I restart the system again in failsafe mode, the system hangs up trying to setup the wireless network card (That it's an Atheros AR5004G Wireless Network Adapter).
Please tell me how I can give you in this case the log information. I don't know too much about Linux commands
Thanks

Juan, please, is there any Linux Geek who could help you with digging those logs out?
