So - as might be expected for a new users - I don't trust Banshee to manage my mp3s, instead I keep them in a directory /opt/mp3/Gordon/.

Having imported this folder in the past - I just downloaded a new talk, and saved it in the customary place.

I assumed that re-importing the directory would do that incrementally - or, at least since I'm not copying the files to ~/My\ Music/ or wherever notice that files with the same path, timestamp, size etc. were already registered.

Imagine my suprise on re-importing to discover that I had a list full of duplicates. Rather sub-optimal IMHO.

Duplicate detection is in newer versions I believe.

Correct.  I can't reproduce this in 0.9.11.1.

WRT 10.0, I don't think this needs an update; it's probably sufficient that this is fixed for future products.  In that case, this is as FIXED as it's going to get.
