Description Jon Nelson 2005-11-22 21:11:10 UTC
Bit Torrent 4.2.0 has been announced.
I believe the currently available version is 4.0.X

I also have a packaging request: not everybody wants to install lots of X libraries to run the ncurses or console version of bit torrent - could the package please be split up a bit? If it is a matter of work (versus willingness), I am willing to contribute some effort towards the specfile to this end.

Reassigning this to the maintainer of Bit Torrent. Help is always welcome, thanks.

i am working on it - the problem is, we can't release a BitTorrent package with distributed tracking, due to legal issues. i'm trying to find a way to remove the trackerless mode support from the package.

as for the split-up, i believe that is already done. we have BitTorrent, BitTorrent-curses and BitTorrent-gtk packages.
