Backtrace of crash
Interesting - it looks like you're running the file-selector dialog in the background or somesuch ? - is that deliberate ? can you repeat that trace without the dialog running ? or are you using some clever file dialog feature ? No, I had no other OO windows open, just the two documents. This time I even closed the overview on the right side that you get when you are editing slides. I don't know if it is related to that, but this time the backtrace is much shorter: 32 lines instead of the 91 in my previous report. Maybe that will make it easier to find the flaw, so I will attach the new backtrace as well. Note that the crash occured while I was trying to paste slides. Interestingly, whith version 2.0.0.99.137 it takes much longer to trigger this bug than with the official version supplied by YOU. With the official version it would crash almost immediately, but with the new version I have to copy slides 10 or 15 times to make it crash. Maybe someone found that flaw already but only fixed 90% of it. Might be worth checking in the CVS changelog! Created attachment 61466 [details]
backtrace
Since I read that OO 2.0.1 has been released I checked the changelogs and found that some pieces of the slide sorter had been fixed. I installed Suse's version 2.0.0.99.143-0.1 and it seems the bug is fixed in that version. So whatever bugfix was applied, it would be great to have this in the official version! Good - I'm glad you got the fix. Wrt. shipping continual bug-fix updates for SL10.x - sorry we don't do that; only security fixes. If you want a product with that level of bug fix & update support, it's necessary to buy the enterprise product: the Novell Linux Desktop. HTH. |
