Description Dirk Mueller 2005-11-30 09:36:20 UTC
Hi,

I experience lockups with new madwifi driver which is in STABLE. after a few seconds of usage the machine locks up entirely. no sysrq possible.

What exact madwifi package number are you seeing this for?
Comment 2 Dirk Mueller 2005-12-01 08:31:25 UTC
I'm not sure what you're referring to? Its the kernel package,
kernel-default-2.6.14.2-3.i586.rpm as found in autobuild.

Comment 3 Dirk Mueller 2005-12-01 10:58:02 UTC
apparently this comes from km_wlan -> maintainer
Comment 4 Joachim Gleissner 2005-12-01 11:12:06 UTC
Please provide some information about your hardware, especially what architecture are you using, whether smp or not, and which Atheros card you have. For the latter, grep for 'wifi0: mac' in /var/log/messages.

Madwifi had a few updates in the meantime. Does the problem still exists?
Comment 7 Dirk Mueller 2006-02-09 17:15:38 UTC
I don't know, the laptop I had problems with is currently broken and under repair.

lets pretend its fixed and I'll reopen if I see any more issues.
