Thinking about it, we should test:
- Previews, corect MIME icons.
- Icon view, list view (try tree in list view).
- Properies (with special case for images with EXIF and maybe sounds).
- If instant playback is on, check, that it is not freezing nautilus (can need mpg123, mpg321 for MP3, because it is not yet using gstreamer).
- File notification ("touch file ; sleep 5 ; rm file").
- Copy, move, rename
- Folders via ssh://, smb://, ftp://
- Spatial and standard view
- Sidebars
Where are we on this? We need them for atleast samba browsing and sharing. I have entered a few test cases in PDB. They cover the basics of browsing Network Servers. I also added test cases for nautilus-share. If the needed test cases have been added, can this bug be closed? I found a bunch of test cases in Testopia that mention Nautilus; maybe that's enough? My understanding is that Samba support (requested in Comment #2) is pretty well covered (Comment #3 and Comment #4), but that's a subset of the requested coverage (Comment #1). OTOH, if the initial request was for "some", this bug is nominally fixed. While there's room for improvement, I don't think it's worth keeping a bug open. |
