Bug 136854

I'm not able to play audio CD's on my Toshiba laptop with AC97 sound system.
The CD's don't play with any player. Though visually everything looks ok, i.e. I see what CD it is, the number of tracks are recognized, the time counter is running, etc.
Strange enough the system sounds (e.g. when starting) play correctly.
When I try "Control Panel | Sounds & Multimedia | Sound System" and them "Test Sound" it crashes (artsd crashed and caused SIGSEVV).
