Try to disable "sound server" on KDE. SInce dmix is used, we don't need artsd for soft mixing. Also, most likely your CD-drive has no analog cable connection to the sound chip. Some CD players like kscd doesn't support CDDA playback. In such a case, try another player (see the sound section in the SUSE manual). |
