Parallel port printers work well for us (when the parallel port is not in ECP/DMA mode - see our release notes) with the hplip package installed (I guess your "hplit" is a typo and you mean "hplip"). I.e. there is no conflict with hplip and the parallel port but there is a kernel problem with the parallel port in ECP/DMA mode, see our release notes and for more information see for example http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2005-Nov/1206.html |
