Are we talking about the OSS version or the retail version? AFAIK the Xen-Kernel includes some non-GPL parts and was therefore not shipped with the OSS version. Looks like I am using OSS version. I thought xen was GPL. That being the case, why include the other Xen packages, since they're useless without xen-kernel? Sorry I was not quite right here. The Xen-Kernel contains only GPL-software... and was therefore dismissed out of capacity reasons -- only for the x86-64 version as it seems. Anyway, it makes not much sense that way. Ruediger: Could we either add the Xen-Kernel to the CD or remove the tools package as well? no, the package simply did not build before (for various reasons hitting one by one). Looks like finally there is a built current kernel-xen on x86_64 to there are good chances for 10.1 Alpha4. |
