In the wiki's howto on reporting bugs on yast2 it is mentioned that with shift+f8 one can choose where save the yast2 logs.
Unfortunately it doesn't work in my system.
I recommend that an option in the menu bar should be added to save the yast2 logs.

please be a little more verbose. When exactly (at which screen) do you try to save the logfiles and how does it fail (does nothing happen at all or do you receive an error)? The logfiles are automatically stored in /var/log/YaST2. If there is an error, we need these files, so please attach them here. If your installation abborted, you can use a rescue system (available from DVD or CD1) and retrieve the logs.

well I try the shift+f8 in the introductory menu of yast. I tried it also in the hardware mouse.
I should expect a pop upwindow to ask me the destination of the saved log file.
What I propose as an enhancement in Yast is to add an option in the gui to save a copy of the log in a specific folder.
For example if I have problems with the mouse and I want to submit the yast mouse log then which log from /var/log/YaST2 should I submit? What If in the mouse configuration there was an option to save a copy of the mouse log in a specified location with a specified name.
That would make yast debugging easier. Don't you think?

Are you using text mode install?
It works in the graphical install.

Ioannis, would you, please, answer question in comment 4? Or did you try to save the logs when running the control center in QT mode?

I am using the graphic interface.
May I propose some ideas on the saving.
By default the yast logs are kept in /var/log/YaST2. The logs have cryptic names like "y2log-4". If I have a problem with a device driver then how do I know which of these logs to send?
You could add either a menu item under the File or Edit menu which would point to the yast logs or a menu under the Miscelaneous section like "yast logs" which would save a yast log for a particular facility to particular place with a particular name. 
For example if a printer doesn't work, I want to save a yast log with the corresponding information only in my user home directory with a name like "yast-printer.log".

Always attach all the contents of /var/log/YaST2 directory.
