This bootlog is useless to determine the cause of the hang. Please see http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/Bug_Reporting_FAQ#YaST what information we need. Created attachment 60238 [details]
Y2start.log file
Help me to help you. I do not know the workings of the product enough to know what you need. There are 18 files inside of /var/log/YaST2. This one seems correct, but i'm not sure. I want to help in anyway I can.
The FAQ asks you to tar up the complete directory, so please do so: tar -cvjf /tmp/y2logs.tar.bz2 /var/log/YaST2 And attach the resulting tarball. Please close this. I just formatted the drive. There are way too many bugs for me to even use the damn thing and you guys all seem to have a chip on your shoulders. (In reply to comment #0) > 10.1 Alpha 3 installation. I was using an Intel MB #D845PEBT2, P4cpu, Pioneer > DVD-ROM ATAPIModel DVD-120S, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive. > > During installation, I got to the hardware configuration and it just hung.
