The line numbers are updated, but the edited text isn't. Pressing Ctrl-L fixes the output. Works fine (without need for the Ctrl-L) in konsole and xterm.

Was a bug filed upstream for this?

This works for me in GNOME 2.20 in 10.2. Marking as fixed.
