Maybe somebody more in the know than I can determine whether to use git or git-core as the source. It looks as though git (sans -core) is the One True GIT and -core is defunct, but I don't know. Also, please make git-core depend on rcs. It requires rcs because parts of git use the 'merge' program provided by rcs. Thanks! Can git 1.2.X please be made available for 10.1 ? I use git quite a bit and 1.2.X has features I really use quite a bit. I took the existing SUSE srpm and made very minor changes for updated versions of git and am very very pleased but it would be more convenient if SUSE shipped with 1.2.X. (and of course updated cogito which is super-useful on top of git!) Long fixed. :) Sorry, my bugzilla mail settings were broken and I didn't visit novell bugzilla a lot back then. |
