Description a b 2005-12-09 16:45:41 UTC
using yast2
installing bind draws the packet bind-chrootenv in.
installing the rpm causes the following error:

2005-12-09 17:34:02 bind-chrootenv-9.3.1-8.i586.rpm install failed
rpm output:
error: unpacking of archive failed on file /var/lib/named/var/lib/named: cpio: rename failed - Is a directory

i removed the offending directory and did a retry. i got no further complains.

I never heared of that and I can not reproduce that.
Can you reproduce that by deinstalling bind and reinstalling it?
