Updated examples list

Description Lee Lowry 2005-12-09 23:12:39 UTC
Every single field and possibility needs for examples, big picture explanations, reasons for usages, etc. Not only from a syntax point of view, but more important, from a business "real-world" point of view.
Comment 1 Sarah Cole 2005-12-12 17:17:04 UTC
We provide this information for all Identity Manager customers online in the Policy Guide, however it is not currently in the Designer help. (We link to the information from Designer)

I need to talk to my management about this strategy and the potential of maintaining this doc in 3 different places. It might not be feasible, nor cost effective for Novell to add it into the Designer product.

Marking approved for Designer 2.0.

List of examples that I currently have.

Current list of all of the examples I have for the policy elements as of 08/01/2006.
Comment 4 Juliet Jensen 2006-08-01 21:18:36 UTC
I need engineering resources to come up with usable examples. I have attached a spreadsheet that shows which elements I have examples for and which elements need examples.
Comment 5 Sarah Cole 2006-10-11 16:30:35 UTC
We need to assign an engineering resource to provide these examples.
Comment 6 Tom Sanders 2006-10-12 15:33:59 UTC
We've been waiting over two months for assistance from engineering. I would like Bill (or someone he delegates) to indicate when the engineers can provide this information to Juliet. It may be after M5 is delivered... But should not be delayed past that time...
Comment 7 Bill Street 2007-01-10 05:45:45 UTC
Adding documentation keyword to doc bugs.
Comment 8 Bill Street 2007-01-10 05:54:19 UTC
Juliet- Are we planning on adding embedded examples with 2.0 Ship? Is there a way that we could single source this and have the examples in both Designer and online? Do you still need help from engineering with examples? Come talk to me OK.
Comment 9 Bill Street 2007-01-10 05:57:51 UTC
Removed CCB keyword.
Comment 10 Bill Street 2007-02-21 20:52:58 UTC
Marking 2.1. We have over 1/2 of what was planned. We will get the rest for 2.1.
Comment 11 Juliet Jensen 2007-04-04 14:29:52 UTC
2.1 is only bug fixes, no documentation updates.

Updated examples list

Updated the list of examples and cleaned up the file.
Comment 16 Juliet Jensen 2007-11-28 22:45:40 UTC
I have attached the most current list of which DirXML Script elements have policies and which ones do not. We need engineering help to complete this bug. They need to provide the example for each element that does not have an example.
Comment 17 Juliet Jensen 2007-12-04 01:10:53 UTC
This is a really old bug. What should happen, is to have a story about each section of DirXML Script elements:

Actions
Conditions
Nouns
Verbs

We need to have an engineer create the example and then we can document it. I have attached a spread sheet that shows which elements do have examples and which do not.

Talk with Bill and maybe this should be set to needinfo. Come ask me if you have any questions about this.
