Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-12-15 10:35:03 UTC
i booted the KOTD of yesterday,
Linux susi 2.6.15-rc5-git3-20051214150524-default #1 Wed Dec 14 15:05:24 UTC 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

after logging in, i had no wireless connection (ipw2200 with WPA-EAP). Investigating, i found out that i was associated with the wrong access point.
I tried to change this with "iwconfig air essid wpa2-test". After that, all ifconfig etc hung, also my gkrellm netwok monitor hung.

I did an sysrq-T trace which i will attach

This is actually the same issue as bug 133513. Please try the ipw2200
patches posted there.
Comment 3 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-12-19 12:26:05 UTC
ok. Can we get the patches from there into our kotd? Without it, ipw2200 is pretty useless (this time, no ipsec was involved ;-)
Comment 4 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-02 15:17:29 UTC
Let's ask the maintainer of wireless-tools :-)
Comment 5 Joachim Gleissner 2006-01-02 16:19:35 UTC
ipw2200 isn't provided via km_wlan/wireless-tools anymore but is part of the kernel, so somebody with access to our kernel repository needs to add the patch.
Comment 6 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-02 16:28:06 UTC
Oh, I see. Sorry!
