Description Reinhard Gimbel 2005-12-20 11:56:34 UTC
While testing SUSE Linux 10.1 alpha 4 on I found an issue with top/.toprc. The version of top available with SL 10.1a4 is v3.2.6.

The issue is that a configuration of top saved with "W" is available with the next start of top.

I checked and compared .toprc with one created by top v3.2.5 (of SL 10.0-GM). I could find four missing identifiers for the four sections "Def", "Job", "Mem" and "Usr". Each of these identifiers is the left most entry in line #2, #5, #8 and #11 (the line starting with "<tab>fieldscur=...")

After adding the identifiers mentioned above to the .toprc top seems to work as usual.

Probably these identifiers are either not added to the .toprc or are overwritten somehow.
