I have installed SUSE 10 a few times after and my printer has always worked normally, but this time I installed another linux distribution for testing and then when finished testing it I reformated the partition where the testing distribution was and installed SUSE in that partition, I installed it normally, with the packages I always use and when arrived in the hardware part of the installation, I tried to add my printer (HP Deskjet 695C) which uses the parallel port, it doesn't detected, I ignored and selected my drivers from the list, and when trying to print a test page, my printer doesn't respond, Its well connected, and on, but still it doesn't work, in windows works fine, in Ubuntu works fine, and in Fedora, works fine, It has always worked fine in SUSE 10 except this time, when I enter the printer properties in gnome it give this message : 
Paused: Unable to open parallel port device file "/dev/lp0": Permission denied, even if I use root it give me the same message, Do i need to install some missing packages or add some configurations or anything?

Did you read the "Release Notes" which are shown during installation?

I assume it is the ECP/DMA mode kernel problem and close the bug.
If it is another problem, please re-open the bug report.
