Karl, could you take care of this, please? I fixed the German translation. Do we have to update the other languages as well? Submitted to /work. Anja, a new swampid, please :) (In reply to comment #2) > Do we have to update the other languages as well? I guess yes. Even if I do not understand the most languages, I can count the number of headlines - and there are some missing in nearly each translation... Karl, SWAMPID is 3266 - sorry for the delay - will be faster next time :) thanks :) submit /work/src/done/PATCHINFO/release-notes.patch.box released This seems to become a neverending story ;-) - this time the german translation misses the lilo problem on updates. Additionally, there are several languages that miss lots of information (da, el, pa, pl, sk, sr) and several others that at least miss the information about lilo problems on update. Shall I open a new bug or repoen this one? if there is a born-again bug re-open it or create a new report and provide a back pointer. AFAICS, the lilo snippet was already missing last time? I guess we never offered a translation for the lilo snippet. That's bad, but not a new bug. I'd say, it isn't worth spending more time on this special issue. Take into account, that lilo is not the default boot loader on SL since several releases. It is not only about lilo - in several languages (da, el, pa, pl, sk, sr) more than 50% of the release notes are missing :-( yes, but these are done by volunteers and for various reasons they are incomplete. One of the reasons it, we did not schedule "jet another RN translation cycle". And ATM, we cannot asks them to work on these translations again. They are busy with opensuse and 10.1 translations. The good news is, that starting with 10.1 we will always display "complete" release notes, even if translated only partially; we will fill the gaps with the English version, the same way as Gnome or KDE does it with program messages. |
