Description Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2005-12-30 14:48:36 UTC
When I start kwifi (kdenetwork-wireless) the WLAN button is disabled. I ran iwconfig before and after I started kwifi and noticed that the radio-switch is set to off every time I start kwifi.

There is no kcmwifirc in /root/.kde/share/config, so there is no need to apply any config. I just want to use it to show the signal strength.

This happens with KDE 3.4.x as well as with 3.5.

I noticed that when I start kwifimanager "turn antenna off" is enabled, although I did not enable it. Disabling it and re-starting kwifimanager does not help, it is re-enabled.

kwifi's rc just contains:

[General]
acousticScanning=false
showStatsNoise=false
showStrengthNumberInTray=false
stayInSystrayOnClose=true
useAlternateStrengthCalculation=false

[MainWindow]
Height 1050=258
Width 1400=599
