Description Thorsten Staerk 2006-01-03 10:01:47 UTC
After reading bug 130614 and configuring my sound with yast2 sound, my soundcard was configured, the drivers were loaded, but my computer remained mute. I had to call kmix and set the PCM volume from zero to a reasonable value. This is although I already set the volume in yast2 sound to a reasonable value.

Could you test 10.1 release? If it still happens then attach yast logs, please. (Sorry for my late reaction.)
Comment 5 Thorsten Staerk 2006-07-11 09:21:22 UTC
SUSE 10.1 rocks - and it rocks in an appropriate sound volume ;)
Problem is solved with SUSE 10.1.
Thanks to the developers (probably you) who made this possible.

Well, it wasn't me :-), probably someone from alsa or KDE team...

Thanks for the update!
