In SuSE RPM package seccheck-2.0-516, the scripts /usr/lib/seccheck/{security-monthly.sh,security-weekly.sh} have hardwired an incorrect path for john and unshadow: /usr/bin, as opposed to the correct /usr/sbin. As a result, security scripts cannot test password strength, unless edited and fixed by user.
