Description Forgotten User mbHMon8IUm 2006-01-10 21:14:59 UTC
When installing java 1.5 from yast, automatically the 6-bit version is chosen. Then, if eclipse is installed, it is a 32-bit version, which consequently fails to run. This seems to be a common problem, seeing several threads about this in eclipse.newcomer (subscription needed, server news.eclipse.org). Simply unpacking 64-bit Eclipse over the installed one solves the problem.
There should be some dependency check in yast instead.

Hi.
It's right: We only shipped eclipse-32bits, but now we have a x86_64 version, which will make this problem disappear.
Closing this bug.
