y2log of system update 9.1 to 10.1 Alpha4
I'm not sure if this is supported scenario - could you try the update not from the running system, but using the boot CD (or network source) of 10.1 and choose the update during the 1st phase of installation sequence? btw, that error message doesn't come from language, but from update_proposal.ycp -> jsrain The update screen is for updates of the same system level, like from SLES9 to SLES9SP1 to SLES9SP2. As documented, you need to boot from CD with new installation system to make a major version update. A major version update from a running system was never and will never be supported. |
