I configured kopete to remember my IM password. Now I changed that password. On start, kopete still tries to log in with the old password, fails, tells me so, I give the new password, check the "Remember password" box, and on next start it tries the old password again. Changing the password in Settings -> Configure kopete does not help either.

Note: Going off/online works (not familiar enough with IM to know whether this requires re-authentication). Closing kopete and starting it again gives the above problem.

I can't reproduce this in 10.1 or in 10.0 with KDE 3.5.1 from supplementary.  It may have been fixed since KDE 3.4 as included in 10.0.

I am using KWallet however, could it be that you are not?  When you first tried to configure it you were asked if you wanted to store passwords in Kwallet.
