Description Forgotten User OS1JNCFbCX 2006-01-14 10:59:06 UTC
The Factory tree has lost about 1/3 of all packages including some important packages like yast2 and ghostscript. This is a problem because it is no longer a usable installation source but what I consider a major problem with this is that it again breaks drpmsync because it makes drpmsync remove all missing packages thus _forcing_ a full download when they reappear.

Thus is would be really useful if you could fix this issue and even more important include some checks in the sync scripts that prevent them from syncing when the repository is that horribly broken.

drpmsync service has been disabled on the server until this is fixed.
Comment 2 Ruediger Oertel 2006-01-16 14:34:31 UTC
original reason ... hilbert had lost it's ftp server and the fallback code
got tricked by a race-condition ...
trees are currently being rebuilt.

ok, trees are complete again ... sigh
