Description Lorie Mouklas 2006-01-19 00:08:50 UTC
Hello - I have tried to get printing via Yast to default to letter instead of A4. Some of my applications, like Opera can override this setting. Others cannot and continually send an A4 page even if you select letter in their print dialogue. Also, adding a second printer via Yast does not work correctly. Instead of prompting for the inputs, it only asks for a URI. Using the Gnome printing utilities seems to work to add the second printer but cannot fix the A4 issue.

This is a major bug as I cannot tie up network printers waiting for A4 paper that we don't have (we are in the U.S.)

I need information how to reproduce it (=> NEEDINFO).
What exactly did you do in YaST to change A4 to Letter?
