Attached you find the required kernel patches to add support for the new Intel Laptop video chipset (945GM). See also FATE #151391. Since NLD10 will be based on 10.1 and IMHO we are interested in seing this support also in 10.1 I make this bugreport against 10.1.

Yes, we absolutely need this feature. It is currently marked as Eval By Teamlead. Shall I change that to Implementation?
Comment 9 Greg Kroah-Hartman 2006-01-20 17:02:59 UTC
Can I get these patches sent to lkml, with the proper "Signed-off-by:" line and changelog entry so that we can try to get them into upstream as soon as possible?
Comment 10 Charles Johnson 2006-01-20 18:48:32 UTC
I'm working on submitted them to LKML as soon as possible.
Comment 12 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-20 20:08:03 UTC
Charles, we very much appreciate Intel's efforts to get this upstream.
Thanks!
Comment 15 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-23 09:55:36 UTC
Working on it.

Which bug is the hotkey patch in? Please talk to trenn@suse.de about
this, who is handling the ACPI hotkey stuff.
Comment 16 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-23 09:58:30 UTC
Patches will be in beta2.
Comment 17 Stefan Dirsch 2006-01-23 10:17:49 UTC
Thanks a lot! We don't have the ACPI hotkey patches yet. We'll open a different bugreport for the ACPI hotkey patch and assign it to
trenn@suse.de.

Alan Hourihane from Tungsten Graphics has informed me that the agpgart and drm patches have been submitted to the maintainers.
