Description Karl Eichwalder 2006-01-20 12:10:50 UTC
Default installaiton. It does find "passwd" or any other file. It does not work as described in out Start-up Manual. How is it meant to work? The nautilus manual (outdated?) does not seem to cover the search funktionality.

Did you do a completely new install? Where is the file you are looking for located?
Comment 2 Karl Eichwalder 2006-01-20 20:08:49 UTC
yes, completely new install. I searched for "test" ;) and "passwd" and "txt", IIRC.
Comment 3 JP Rosevear 2006-01-20 22:38:59 UTC
How much data do you have and how long did you wait for it to index. Note that the searching from the main menu is borked in beta 1, so if its simply a case of not showing up, thats known.
Comment 4 Karl Eichwalder 2006-01-23 15:51:36 UTC
okay, calling gnome-search-tool manually works fine. Looks as if my report is somehow invalid.
