I think it get its data from the BIOS - so in this case from VMware. @steffen, @ms: your comment? /me asking vmware guys... Please run 'hwinfo --framebuffer --log=xxx' in that vmware session and attach the log. Then we'll know. Created attachment 64546 [details]

hwinfo log. Thanks. It shows the modes are indeed listed twice. First with vmware specific mode numbers and then again with vesa assigned numbers. I think we can live with that. Full ACK. If one does not work, the other can be tried. But it's currently hard to find out which are which - or is the sort a stable one? The order probably stays the same. *** Bug 145749 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fixed in latest VMware/openSUSE. |
