Both nm-applet und knetworkmanager want to know from me the type (TKIP/AES).  With the "old" scripts, I did not need to enter this.

It's fine to make this optional but in general the user should be able to say just "any".

This is all the same story: NM should let wpa_supplicant figure out the parameters by itself unless expert configuration options are set.

As of NetworkManager-0.5.1cvs20060130, there is an "Automatic" option.
